SSSC Selects and Recommends Students as Volunteers for Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce Annual Conference, Students Take Photos with Mr. Cao Zhongming, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore

SSSC keeps securing various high-end practical opportunities for international students studying in Singapore. This time, outstanding students were carefully selected and recommended by SSSC to serve as volunteers for the 2026 Annual General Meeting of Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. Through volunteer work, students got access to this high-level business event of overseas Chinese entrepreneurs in Singapore, listened to cutting-edge industry insights, and had the honour to have friendly conversations and take photos with Mr. Cao Zhongming, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore.

With the theme of "Unite Strength, Forge Ahead Together", the Annual General Meeting gathered Zhejiang entrepreneurs, industry leaders and elites from all sectors based in Singapore, building a premium platform for economic and trade communication, idea exchange and resource sharing.

SSSC is not only committed to supporting students’ academic progress and daily life management in Singapore, but also dedicated to creating high-level practical platforms beyond the classroom. The volunteer positions for this conference were screened and recommended by our centre. As volunteers, students took part in this major chamber of commerce event in person. They immersed themselves in the pragmatic and enterprising spirit of overseas Zhejiang merchants, learned about the development experience of Chinese enterprises expanding overseas, broadened their global vision and enriched their experience.

At the event, student volunteers recommended by SSSC took part in relevant service work throughout the conference and learned through communication on site. After the meeting, the student volunteers were granted the precious chance to have face-to-face talks and take commemorative photos with Mr. Cao Zhongming, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore.

The students expressed their sincere gratitude to SSSC for securing this valuable practical opportunity. This volunteer experience has helped them practise communication skills and gain an intuitive understanding of the cohesion and influence of overseas Chinese communities. It greatly enriches their overseas study portfolio and deepens their knowledge of cross-cultural communication and overseas business environment.

Moving forward, SSSC will continue to integrate high-quality local resources including chambers of commerce, industry summits and elite forums in Singapore. We will keep exploring and providing high-quality extracurricular practical opportunities for more international students. While focusing on academic studies, students can broaden their horizons, accumulate experience and improve their mindsets, achieving all-round and high-quality growth overseas.
